Choosing a new piece of home stereo equipment can seem like a daunting task.  There are a lot of different features for every component and a lot of different manufacturers to choose from.  You should always ask your retailer about the pros and cons of any home theater piece. You can also do research online to read other consumer’s reviews. 

There are a few questions that you should also make sure to ask your retailer that you may not think to ask when you are about to purchase your plasma screen, A/V Receiver or speaker system.  Here are a few questions to make sure to ask when you are there:

1. What are the retailers and manufacturer’s warranties and what do the warranties cover?
2. Does the equipment you are purchasing need additional wires in order to connect it with your full system?
3. Can the equipment be shipped (if needed)?
4. Can the equipment be installed by an installation crew?
5. What is the return policy if the equipment does not meet your expectations or does not fit in your home the way you expected?
