The Onkyo TX-SR304 home theater receiver is an entry-level component with enough features and capabilities to satisfy most any household.  Users will find the TX-SR304 practical and will see that its audio and video capabilities are of the standard expected from Onkyo.

The SR304 has great sound quality with HD-capable component video switching and adjustable crossover settings. The receiver also has a built in test tone generator for setting your speaker levels. What a user won’t find is S-video inputs or outputs. The TX-SR304 also does not have front panel AV inputs and it cannot provide a composite to component video conversion. Though not a major draw back, the receiver functions are all ran through the component’s LED panel – it does not have a onscreen menu capability.
