Integra Announces Their HD DVD Player to the World

Just before CEDIA got underway this week, Integra announced the availability of their standalone HD DVD player which they are calling the DHS-8.8. The initial review of the player looks very promising. The player is HDMI 1.3a compatible and has obligatory support for all the lossless audio formats. The DHS-8.8 also boasts 1080p24 playback, onboard Reon VX HQV video processing, DVD upscaling to 720p / 1080i / 1080p, and component outputs.  That’s not all.  It has 192 kHz/24-bit audio DACs to convert audio sources for analog output and a built-in ethernet port so that buyers can take advantage of web-based extras that may enhance their home theater experience in the future.

The player is expected to hit your local home theater retailer in Q4 2007 and will have a suggested retail of $1,099.
