GE Offering Home Theater Loans

Is the cost of purchasing home theater equipment forcing you to delay installing the entertainment system of your dreams?  Well, financing just became a bit easier for some of you.

Theater Xtreme Entertainment Group, Inc., a nationwide seller and installer of real movie theaters for the home, has partnered with General Electric Money Bank to provide GE Money’s PROJECTLINE(SM) home improvement financing.  The goal is to provide consumers the opportunity to purchase first rate home theater equipment now by providing competitive financing at a lower monthly payment.

PROJECTLINE is a revolving financing program from GE Money’s Sales Financing unit designed for the home improvement industry.  Customers can be approved for a loan of up to $20,000 toward home theater improvements within a home.

I can’t believe that this financing idea will be limited to Theater Xtreme. If this proves successful, I predict a flood of other financing organizations will follow in the coming two years. It isn’t hard to imagine after all that financing has evolved from autos to housing to housing accessories.
