Gas Used To Make Flat Panels Blamed For Global Warming

Nitrogen triflouride, more commonly known as NF3, is being pointed at as a potential cause of atmospheric damage and a contributor to global warming. This gas is used in the manufacturing process of flat panel TVs, consumer electronics that now dominate the television production market. Scientists are now calling for further research and potential usage limitation laws.

It should be noted that so far no measurements of the gas in the atmosphere have been taken so it is unclear how much is out there and what long-term impact it could really have.  It is considered to be in the air in small concentrations.
