Goodbye Fujitsu Plasma Televisions
Fujitsu announced on Wednesday that they will no longer sell their plasma television sets worldwide. The flat panel manufacturer has decided to pull the plug on their plasma television in all markets except Japan, where they will be sold through custom retailers only. Fujitsu stated the decision was based on pricing and profitability of the flat panels. With Fujitsu’s departure from the plasma manufacturing market, only Hitachi, Panasonic and Pioneer now make plasmas in Japan.
U.S. homes with Fujitsu plasma screens need not fear just yet. Fujitsu stated they will continue to service their plasma screens sold in the U.S.
